So I’m up late watching a music DVD I bought a couple weeks back and haven’t really had a chance to watch. It’s ‘One Out of the Bag’, the Split Enz reunion concert held in Melbourne last year.

This clip is the only one I could find on YouTube, featuring of one of the encore songs, complete with frisbee competition.

Just to prove Split Enz had some global influence, here’s some Eddie Vedder (complete with original Enzer Tim Finn and his nephew’s band Betchadupa), doing an Enz classic. Young Liam sounds so much like his father (Neil Finn), it’s uncanny.

Oh, and if anyone wants to know what to buy me, 7 Worlds Collide would be it. Never mind - I found it in the bargain bin at The Warehouse.

Kiwi is not a fruit. That small furry edible thing some misinformed people refer to as ‘kiwi’ is actually kiwifruit.

A Kiwi is a small flightless bird found only in New Zealand. It’s a protected endangered species and a national symbol.  To that end, a Kiwi is also an affectionate term given to people who come from New Zealand - much the same way Canadians are referred to as Canucks and Americans are called that word I need to learn not to call them.

So, folks ... if you’re eating kiwi, you’re either doing something illegal, or you’re a damn pervert. Mmmkay?

Thanks to YouTube (who have recently opened a New Zealand site) and the wonderful folks who steal stuff of the idiot box to throw up there, I’ll actually be able to keep up with my favourite Kiwi comedians.

Featured below is 2-time winner of the NZ Comedy Guild’s ‘Most Offensive Gag’ award, Gish. Be warned that the video contains offensive language and subject matter not suitable for the kiddies. And unless you’re family with NZ/British style humour, odds are you won’t get it.

Apparently, Kiwi news site Stuff had no photos of the Australian Wallabies on the losing end, so the photo they included in this article makes it look as though the boys were pretty damn happy to be out of the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Yeah, right!
